The chapters start with a brief list of suggestions for accomplishing each step and continue with meaningful but easy-to-read instructions. Interesting visual aids, such as the famed illustration that can be seen as either an old woman or a young one, prove that there are different ways to perceive the same thing. It would have been better, however, to use photographs rather than illustrations to depict yoga and muscle-strengthening exercises, as improper postures can injure beginners. Chopra and Simon also provide lists of dietary supplements, their functions, and their sources, as well as a list of healthy Thai, Italian, Chinese, American, Mexican, and French recipes designed to reverse aging. Even if it doesn't keep its promise of taking 15 years from one's age, this well-researched guide will surely improve the health and well-being of readers.
