This first novel explores the turbulent world of gay youth. Ancient Prejudice Break To New Mutiny is the story of Mark, a gay eighteen year old boy, who wants what we all want, to love and be loved. He finds that love in Taylor, a boy right out of his dreams. With the realization of his dreams however, Mark finds himself confronted with the non-acceptance of his peers. Both boys hide what they are, and their relationship, from a world that does not understand.

Neither Mark, nor Taylor, fit the stereotypes that many still hold. Mark is handsome, strong, athletic, the star of his soccer team. He is courageous, kind, witty, and funny. Taylor possesses many of these same qualities, plus a sensitive nature. These are boys that others like and admire. They are popular and respected. When their homosexuality is revealed, they are faced with a mixture of curiosity, shock, disbelief, denial, ridicule, and hatred. They find that many of their friends turn away from them, while a few stand by them and accept them as they are.

The boys face their situation with courage, but are slowly beaten down by a world that does not understand. They long to escape their town and go where such prejudice is largely a thing of the past. They tough it out and hold fast to each other and those few that stand by them, but in the end, they cannot stand against all the pressure that is brought to bear upon them.

Ancient Prejudice Breaks To New Mutiny is a story of love, steamy romance, friendship, understanding, and prejudice that all, gay and straight, young and old, can identify with and understand. It breaks the stereotypes of the ignorant and peers into the soul of a boy that just wants what we all want, to love and be loved. Ancient Prejudice is the story of love and happiness torn asunder by a world that understands too late. Mark and Taylor are at ease with their sexuality, the disturbance comes from without.
