Terry L. Shepherd is the Department Head and Associate Professor of Special Education at Indiana University South Bend. While at Texas A & M International University, he was named the 2003-2004 Scholar of the Year for the College of Education. He has taught students with emotional and behavior disorders and students as a residential treatment facility.

This text provides a pragmatic, comprehensive and eclectic overview of the challenges teachers and other professionals face working with students with emotional and behavior disorders, and addresses issues and topics not covered in other texts on the subject.
