Karen Henrich, a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, is the founder of Moment by Moment Studio and the Moment by Moment Foundation, an organization that takes photographs of terminally ill children and presents their families with keepsake prints of those images. A professional portrait photographer by trade, she lives in Alamo, California, across the bay from San Francisco.

Few of us take time to pause and focus on what is truly important to us, to appreciate just how blessed we are to be living in our unique moment in time and with the people we know and love. Instead, we keep on doing what we do, although we realize—or at least suspect—that something precious and wonderful is rushing by us far faster than we comprehend.

As a photographer of children and their families, Karen Henrich lives her life moment by moment, capturing timeless images of babies and small children in all their innocence and wonder. Preserving precious moments in these young lives—images of time that she makes timeless—is her life s passion.
