Kenneth Samples is vice president of philosophical and theological apologetics with Reasons to Believe. He is founder and president of Augustine Fellowship Study Center, formerly worked for the Christian Research Institute, and has cohosted "The Bible Answer Man." He also serves as an adjunct instructor at Biola University and lives in southern California with his wife, Joan, and their three children.

Divided into three sections, the questions concern faith in God, faith in Jesus Christ, and objections to Christianity. The book obviously addresses the general Christian reader seeking intellectual depth, but it can also be read by non-Christians seeking an introduction to Christian thinking. Samples's personal involvement with the questions is evident, and his answers (which vary in length) are clearly written and introduce the reader to the historical, theological, and philosophical issues swirling around each topic. The discussion questions and reading lists following each question render the book suitable for use in a classroom or discussion group. Highly recommended for religion collections.
