Valuing Intellectual Property in Japan, Britain and the USA »

Taplin (director, Centre for Japanese and East Asian Studies, UK) presents nine papers that describe recent developments in the valuation of intellectual property in the United States, Britain, and Japan. There is a particular emphasis on Japanese developments because much of it has not been covered in the English literature. Topics include the valuation of technology transfer from US universities, insurance solutions to protecting intellectual property, standardization and patent pools in Japan, redefining brand valuation in Japan, and Japanese patent publications as a source of information.
