Nancy Love is director of program development at Research for Better Teaching. She previously served as principal investigator and director of the Using Data Project at TERC, an education research and development organization. While at TERC, Love worked with schools and mathematics and science education projects nationally to improve mathematics and science teaching and learning through effective and collaborative use of school data. She has worked at The NETWORK, Inc., and served on the staff of the National Institute for Science Education Professional Development Project. Love continues to work with professional developers and school leaders nationally to design professional development that is based on research, draws on a repertoire of robust strategies, and is tailored to local needs and goals for student learning. She coauthored Designing Professional Development for Teachers of Science and Mathematics, Second Edition (Corwin Press, 2003) and is the author of Using Data/Getting Results: A Practical Guide to School Improvement in Mathematics and Science and Global Perspectives for Local Action: Using TIMSS to Improve U.S. Mathematics and Science Education Professional Development Guide.
