The Stewart Hypothesis »

Mark Stewart began his latest murder-for-hire investigation like any other, but soon learned that this was no ordinary murder plot. Only adding to his frustration were his personal problems at home. When a prominent judge was apparently murdered by the same people he was investigating, and an attempt was made on Mark's life, the governor finally relents, offering him a task force. As Mark and his task force continue trying to piece together this series of murders of judges, lawyers and police officers, a new twist is added. These murders are directly connected to an influx of Afghani heroin being introduced into the USA. After a large scale and bloody escape from the Colorado Department of Corrections, Mark learns of an al Qaeda connection and finds that the cities of Canon City and Pueblo, Colorado, are in danger of a massive terrorist attack that would leave thousands dead.
