Michael Haddad is a story analyst for Paramount Pictures. He has written and cowritten screenplays for more than a dozen feature films and a half dozen shorts and has written spec scripts for several television shows including Alf, Married with Children, Roc, and Seinfeld. He was the America's Funniest People grand prize winner; festival winner for the Cork International Film Festival and Film Crash, NYC; and screenplay winner for the Telluride IndieFest. He lives in South Pasadena, California.
Haddad's guide aims to help screenwriters get their scripts past the office recycling bin and to the people who are in a position to do something with them. The reference offers information on contests, fellowships, grants, and development opportunities; reaching and working with agents, managers, and producers; and general resources including information on copyright registration, emergency funds, colonies, retreats, residencies, guilds, unions, professional organizations, motion picture libraries and museums, networks and cable channels, state arts agencies and film commissions, and film studios. Haddad (a story analyst for Paramount Pictures) also includes an industry glossary and a contest submission calendar. Distributed in the US by Independent Publishers Group.
