She has been an invited speaker at the United Nations in New York and the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
Michael Emery, a former United Press International reporter, earned his Ph.D. in Mass Communications at the University of Minnesota. He was a Professor of Journalism at Cal State-Northridge for twenty six years. In 1992, Michael was honored for his work with the Mencken Award for Best Investigative Journalism story. During the Gulf War, he was the only U.S. correspondent to interview Jordan's King Hussein. Michael passed away in December, 1995.
Tears in the Holy Land is a collection of oral histories based on interviews with with Palestinians and Israelis. The question of which side is right and wrong fades into the background as the urgent need for peace becomes pre-eminent.
