The character and author John Tagliaferro, was born an only child, grew up in Maynardville, Tennessee. Vanderbilt University graduate, retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Aviation with an Armor and US Cavalry background. He was also a Defense Contractor during his Reserve Service, as well as before and after his Active Duty service. He learned car restoration from his father, Josef. Divorced in his early 30's, he concentrated on rearing and educating his now accomplished son between deployments. John Tagliaferro's functional background is in Finance and Logistics. The real people behind the pen name and character posses all of the background and education of the author.
