Book Synopsis

More people will be learning how to fly—and purchasing their own aircraft—with the advent of the new FAA Sport Pilot airman certificate for Light-Sport Aircraft (LSA). Different types of light and ultralight aircraft, including hang gliders, paragliders, and powered parachutes, are defined and compared in this 41-minute DVD, and expert advice is given on which aircrafts are better for different lifestyles. Factors taken into account include aviation experience, transportation, storage, and cost. The supplementary full-color booklet further educates the would-be sport flyer with additional photos, sport pilot regulatory information, aircraft descriptions, and comparison tables.
