Ronald L. Partin, Ph.D., is a professor emeritus from the College of Education at Bowling Green State University. He lives, writes, and consults in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Some 550 lists are collected here, useful for developing instructional materials and planning for students in 4th-12th grades. Checklists, statistics, and interesting facts are organized in seven sections corresponding to seven areas of the social studies curriculum, numbered consecutively, and printed in a format that can be photocopied.
