When he looks in the mirror, he wonders if this is his face. He is an outcast in school and has only one constant friend, Tara. His mother has little to do with Nick since she works most of the time. He had seen a priest, a nun, and a doctor, none of whom can offer any explanation for his appearance. Nick finds a dead kid's diary and with the help of that, Tara, a nun, and a local professor find out what's wrong with him. It is an intense story and would be best offered to an avid reader.
