Author Biography: Lynne Marshall

Lynne Marshall believes she developed her creative writing skills by being an avid reader, always observing life and raising her delightfully challenging children. In 2000, with two teenagers who no longer needed so much of her time, the story of her heart came kicking and screaming out of her head. She had a choice to either write it down or go loopy. A little of both happened, because in 2001 she entered the world of romance writing and has never looked back. By joining writers' groups, attending national and local conferences and taking extension courses to hone her craft, she discovered the most wonderful group of supportive people and first-class friends. She considers it a blessing.

As a registered nurse for over twenty years, it made sense for her to write medical romance novels. She loves to write about the world of medicine, and the potential for finding love amid hospital drama, stress and sometimes grief.

When her husband realized she was pursuing her dream of writing a romance novel, he offered his support, while understanding her need to spend hours and hours typing away on the computer. He was also the first one to know when she got "the call" from across the pond on November 8, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. Harlequin Mills & Boon wanted to buy one of her books!

Lynne loves to read, take day trips with her hubby and better yet, take vacations anywhere and everywhere she can. She also likes to see movies and eat out—Italian and Mexican restaurants are her favorites. For exercise, she takes power walks with the family Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rogan. She finds brisk walking helps stimulate her imagination, and she has often solved writing dilemmasorcome up with new ideas for books while walking her dog. Sometimes she thinks Rogan is her muse.

Lynne is thrilled to be a part of the great big genre of romance literature. In a world that often gives people little encouragement, romance stories always end with hope. And as she has learned throughout her life, hope is the candle that guides us through the long and trying times.

Book Synopsis

Wanted: mother for young twin girls! Dangerously handsome Dr. Dane Hendricks certainly isn't nurse Rikki Johansen's usual type. For one thing, she thinks he's arrogant and overbearing, and for another, he assumed she was scatterbrained and incapable of making good decisions. So why is he so adamant about taking her on a date?

Rikki soon discovers that Dr. Dane is actually a kind an sensitive dad, and, like her, he's one of life's survivors. A foster mother herself, Rikki knows she can bring Dane's adorable twin girls--and their gorgeous dad--the happiness they deserve.
