Book Synopsis

Pat Murray's No-Nonsense Guide To Coastal Fishing is an in-depth look at the details that transform the sport of coastal fishing into an art. His straightforward approach gives an insider's look into fishing like a pro. From detailed maps to general philosophies for success, this book is a must-have guide for every coastal angler. During his seven years of professional guiding on the Galveston bay Complex, Pat won second runner-up in the 1993 Guide's Cup Tournament, won the 1994 Media Cup Championship and won the prestigious Guide's Cup in 1995. As an amateur, he recently won a 1999 Galveston Troutmasters Tournament. Pat worked as an assistant Director for the Coastal Conservation Association Texas for four years and is currently CCA's National Communications Director. He is Chairman of the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission's recreational fishing panel and continues to be an impassioned voice for marine conservation and proper fisheries management in Texas and beyond. Pat has written for numerous state and national publications. He is currently on the editing staff of CCA's nationally acclaimed TIDE magazine as well as writing an award-winning bi-monthly column. He has won several writing awards and was giving the 2000 Texas Outdoor Writer's Association Editorial-of-the-Year award. This no-nonsense guide is the culmination of years of professional guiding and countless personal angling experiences. It is an A to Z guide for everyone from beginner to pro.
