This novel offers a unique glimpse into the past by presenting bits of history woven into the plot, which quickly becomes the most interesting part of the book. The story itself drags on with none of the excitement or suspense you are expecting. Although the cover art is a style that might have captured the feel of the story, the subsequent artwork appears very bland with an overuse of crass-hatching that adds nothing.
