Intended for graduate students in social work and counseling, this textbook introduces methods for evaluating services and programs using scientifically credible research tools, and analyzing studies conducted by others and published in disciplinary journals and books. The four authors from three different universities describe formative evaluation, single system research designs, client satisfaction, group research designs, cost-effectiveness, measurement tools, and data analysis. The fourth edition adds new examples and illustrations. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
