David Furr
All of his life, David has been involved in creative projects of one kind or another, even at a very young age. In college, David released two short run comic books, while studying television and film. Since then, he has collaborated with Shannon on numerous projects, including Portal Hunters. In addition to his job and his creative pursuits, David also volunteers with a summer Bible camp in Miskolc, Hungary every year. His time in Miskolc has inspired him to study the culture and the language, something that he commonly references in his writings.

Shannon Smith
Shannon Smith has an artistic family. His wife engages in numerous fields of art, including both drawing and photography. His younger son is a self–taught pianist. Shannon’s older son is an avid graphic artist, whose work includes the logo and digital artwork of this book. Shannon studied graphic design at Abilene Christian University, but has focused most of his creative energy in to developing projects with Blue Inferno. Currently, in addition to his work with Blue Inferno, Shannon owns and manages a gaming store in Sherman, Texas.

The war is over, but the crisis has just begun.

After years of warfare, the Resistance had finally defeated the Empire of the New Moon and restored Earth to a democratic republic. But in the wake of the war, humanity faced a new crisis—the Portal Crisis.

The portals had been the New Moon’s greatest discovery and their deadliest weapon, and only a few knew their secrets. Unfortunately, those secrets died with the Empire, leaving the Resistance to inherit a technology they could neither comprehend nor control. All across the globe, portals opened and closed at random, threatening the ecosystem and unleashing horrors on a war-weary population.

In response, the newly formed Civil Ministry assembled an elite unit called the Portal Guardians. The Guardians were tasked with the responsibility of containing the Crisis until a solution could be found. But as Private Éva Katona and the legendary war veteran Michael Traush are about to discover, there is more to the portals than anyone suspects, and the only person capable of bringing the Crisis to an end has other plans.
