This handbook defines the tools, terms, and techniques of poetry. Arranged alphabetically from "accent" to "zeugma," The Poets Dictionary is clear, superb, and complete.

Booknews

A fine introduction that wisely balances exposition with numerous examples and includes passages (from interviews in the New York Quarterly) by noted poets in which they define terms in their own words, as related to poetry as they practice it.
