Tim Burton s The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the Walt Disney Company s most successful franchises, with a huge cult following and a loyal and growing fan base. This beautiful reissue of the book first released in 1993 is a surefire Halloween, Christmas, and year-round hit!

Tim Burton was born and raised in Burbank, California. He attended the California Institute of the Arts and soon after began a career as an animator at The Walt Disney Studios. After working on several films there, he began directing his own projects, and his unique creative vision has since captured the imaginations of millions of people the world over. His feature-film debut was the highly imaginative and raucously funny Pee Wee s Big Adventure. Since then, Mr. Burton has directed such successful and highly acclaimed films as Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Mr. Burton still lives in the Los Angeles area and runs his own production company. The Nightmare Before Christmas is the first book that he has written and illustrated.

Publishers Weekly

Those who found Tim Burton's film terrifying need have no fear of the picture-book version: The Nightmare Before Christmas, first published in 1993, and illustrated in Burton's signature style, is not nearly as scary as its big-screen incarnation. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.
