Nationally renowned broadcast journalist SUSAN STAMBERG is special correspondent for NPR. Stamberg is the first woman to anchor a national nightly news program, and has won every major award in broadcasting. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Internationally acclaimed, NPR produces and distributes programming that reaches a combined audience of 26.4 million listeners weekly, and, unlike other media, NPR’s audience continues to grow. NPR nember organizations operate 784 stations, and another 117 public radio stations also present NPR programs, for a total of more than 900 stations nationwide who broadcast NPR programming. NPR has delivered many “firsts” in reporting as well as reports of historic significance in its first 40 years.
