This book is about a strong family's love and commitment to each other in the face of a devastating illness. The author hopes that it may somehow serve as a guide to families who find themselves in similar situations. Included in this book are "17 Tips for Families During Illness." These tips include: 1. Selecting a family spokesperson; if possible someone with some medical knowledge. 2. Being involved and asking questions, even seemingly silly ones. 3. Talking to each other and openly discussing fears and concerns with each other. 4. Giving the medical team their space and showing appreciation for them. . . . and above all else, families must learn during this time how important it is for them to support and care for each other.
