The revised and expanded bibliography now lists more than 10,000 individual works for oboe--all the known solo sonatas and concertos for oboe, all the chamber music, and as many solo works with voice as could be located, for the period up to ca. 1800, a period in the oboe's repertoire known as its Golden Age. The main part of the book is arranged alphabetically by composer, with the works of each composer subarranged by size of ensemble, from smallest to largest.
