Puppeteer offers brief information about producing a show and practical guidance for giving puppets individual expression and character. Instructions for making several types of puppets are covered along with directions for the appropriate theaters. The creation and manipulation of the ancient Japanese Bunraku puppet, not usually found in a book for this age range, is included.
