Dick Ebbott, a word-smith by trade, has always had dogs in his family. Missy was so singular and was the last, he was compelled to write this memoir of her life. He is now working on books, also autobiographical, but on other subjects including family trips in small aircraft and politics.

Missy was a blond cocker spaniel who was part of our family for 14 years. When we buried her in the backyard I promised her that I'd tell her story so she would not be forgotten but would live in the minds of everyone who reads this little book as she lives in our hearts.
