Author Biography: J. M. Barrie

J. M. Barrie (1860–1937) had no children of his own but was the guardian of five boys for whom he created the tale of Peter Pan, first written as a play. Michael Foreman is a Kate Greenaway Award– and Smarties Book Prize–winning illustrator who has worked on a vast range of children's books. He is the author and illustrator of several books, including Cat in the Manger, Classic Fairy Tales, and Hello World
