Author Biography: Ray Surette

Ray Surette is an internationally recognized scholar in the area of media, crime, and justice. A professor of criminal justice and legal studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, his research interests involve the interactions of the mass media, media technology, and media culture with public perceptions of crime and justice, copycat crime, and criminal justice policy. He has published three books and more than thirty articles on media, crime, and justice topics.
