This study presents a systematic means by which the criteria for the development of an authentic and appropriate model of Christian contextualization might be identified and formulated as a resource for the mission of evangelization and re-evangelization in the African American community in the midst of the contemporary challenge of the Islamic faith. Two analytical models will beused: worldview theory model and the contextualization model. The theological, religious and ledership challenges presentes by Islam provides the context for missiological analysis. A missional model is recommended that may provide a way by which the Protestant African American churches could bear witness of the Incarnational Christ within a religiously diverse society.
