Jesse Kalisher, a Manhattan native, lives with his family in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. His work has been exhibited at Chicago's Field Museum and is in the permanent collection of several national museums.

Jeff Greenwald, the author of Shopping for Buddhas among other works, has traveled extensively through five continents, working as a writer, artist, and photographer. He lives in Oakland.
