William C. Kroen received his M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Boston State College and his Ph.D. from Boston College. A licensed psychotherapist, he has authored many books and articles on parenting and psychology. Since 1971, he has been a teacher, adjustment counselor, and mediation specialist for the Cambridge, Massachusetts, public schools, where he provides counseling and therapy for children in crisis and those with emotional or behavioral problems.
