This is the fourth title in Evanovich and Hughes's series featuring Jamie Swift and Max Holt. As such, Jamie and Max's relationship advances to another level, Jamie is still struggling to keep her newspaper successful, and there is a full cast of colorful characters. The story involves the personal ads that Jamie is promoting to bring in revenue. Women who have answered them are being killed, and Max and Jamie investigate. As in the past works, they are aided by Muffin, a computer with a personality, along with a psychic named Divine, who helps solve the crime and also writes a column for the paper. A popular series, even though not as well written as the Stephanie Plum books; some of the plot lines are far-fetched and unrealistic.
