Book Synopsis

Whether visiting Singapore for business, pleasure or just stopping over for a night or two, Singapore Day By Day offers visitors the opportunity to sample multiculturalism in all its exotic facets – soak up the history of the Raffles Hotel while sipping a Singapore Sling, hit the TK hawker centre to sample local delicacies such as chilli crab or Hainanese chicken, shop til you drop in the myriad malls on Orchid Road, or take part in one of the many festivals held in this bustling destination. See the Lion City up close and personal as you stroll through Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India and Joo Chiat, and get back to nature with a cycle ride through East Coast Park.

  • Also includes coverage of out of town destinations such as Bintan, Tiomin Island and Palau Ubin.
  • Voted the top business destination by Asian readers of TIME magazine in 2005 for the 5th year in a row, Singapore Day By Day enables business travelers with limited time to still enjoy everything the city has to offer.
  • As a major international transit hub, the Day By Day is the perfect guide for travelers staying for one or two nights.
  • Tourism to Singapore is on the rise, with a total of 10.3 million visitors heading there in 2007, up 5.5% from the previous year.
  • Singapore's superb infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology, excellent telecommunications and world-class venues, combined with a unique cultural heritage, make it a popular choice for international business conferences and events in the Asian region, and the Singapore Tourism Board has launched an aggressive campaign to attract international businesses to its shores.
