Author Biography: Thomas Marent

Thomas Marent has dedicated his life and art to capturing the beauty of the natural world. Born in Switzerland in 1966, Marent honed his skills in natural history photography through a childhood interest in the wildlife found in the mountains around his home.

Thomas has traveled to some of the most remote regions of the globe—including the world’s tropical rainforests—to photograph frogs and other amphibians in their natural environment. These remarkably diverse and often endangered animals are one of Marent’s favorite subjects.
