Book Synopsis

Some of the most exciting prospects for fly fishing in the world are found in the bays, estuaries, and beaches that rim the West Coast of North America. From barracuda and sharks to sea bass and salmon, there are tips for catching any of the vast array of saltwater game fish whose habitat is the pacific inshore. Recognized as the expert on catching the fish of this area, Ken Hanley has shared his knowledge with over 10,000 anglers in workshops and seminars over the past thirty years. In the book he has taken his decades of experience and put it all in one place. Now everything a fisher could want to know about the pacific inshore, from the physical characteristics of its bays, estuaries, and beaches, to the game fish one can expect to find, to the food each type of fish eats, is all in one place. Hanley writes in detail about everything from the equipment and flies you should bring to the tactics that you'll have to use in order to be successful. With a gorgeous eight-page color insert and black and white photographs throughout, this book is as attractive as it is informative. Hanley's style is both engaging and motivating, and is sure to leave any reader anxious to go out and try these tips and tactics immediately.
