Feelings Are Real by Dr. Kristi Lane is a program of primary and intermediate workbooks with leader's manual. The books focus on maximizing the realization, expression and acceptance of feelings among school age children. Dr. Lane helps children meet challenges, use skills, develop new skills, reach out to adults and peers, and develop an inner sense of character. The series stresses the importance of learning constructive ways to express feelings.

The intermediate workbook contains 10 sessions for grades 4, 5, and 6 with write-in space. The workbook provides for individual and group interaction. Intermediate activities focus on "getting to know you," sharing, feelings, assertive behavior, aggressive and nonassertive behavior, anger, "my strengths," decision-making, relationships, family and friendship.
