Author Biography: Tara McAdams

Tara McAdams has written on music, film and other aspects of popular culture for a number of American publications including E!Online, The Memphis Flyer, and Tower Pulse. She has contributed to two books, Spin Magazine's Spin Underground USA, and the Harper Collins book Hollywood Rock, which features her incisive - and often humorous - reviews of many Elvis Presley films. Recently, she authored a biographical essay on the blues singer Mamie Smith, for Sony's Legacy Records. Other books include, in a non-musical capacity, How to Market and Manage Your Medical Practice. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with her husband, the well-known writer Robert Gordon, and their two children.
