An affectionate portrait of British clergy and their dogs, capturing the eccentricities of the owners and the many and varied charms of their pets. Photographer Richard Surman--creator of Church Cats, Cathedral Cats, and Cloister Cats--now turns his attention to dogs. From England to Scotland, inner-city churches to country parishes, pedigrees to mongrels, Surman captures the immense diversity of the human-canine relationship. Among the portraits are Reverend Pat Hopkins and Misty, his river-swimming Rottweiler, and Father Richard Williams and his standard poodle, Jimmy, who faithfully attends all his services.
