Rabbi William Berkowitz is a leading member of the American rabbinate and of the New York Jewish community. Concerned with adult Jewish education as a major aspect of his calling, he designed the Dialogue Forum Series in 1951, which has been the model for similar adult programs throughout the world.

Rabbi Berkowitz has conducted a series of question-and-answer discussions with prominent personalities, held in the presence of live audiences, for the past 40 years. Twenty-four of these dialogues are collected here.
