Author Biography: ASEP

Coaching Youth Football was written by the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) in conjunction with USA Football and former NFL coach and youth football advocate Tom Bass. The NFL and NFL Players Association launched USA Football through a grant from the NFL Youth Football Fund. The purpose of this independent nonprofit organization is to galvanize, support, promote, and expand the sport at all levels of amateur football. ASEP is a division of Human Kinetics, based in Champaign, Illinois, and has been developing and delivering coaches education courses since 1981. As the nation's number one coaching education program, ASEP works with national, state, and local youth sport organizations to develop educational programs for coaches, officials, administrators, and parents. These programs incorporate ASEP's philosophy of "athletes first, winning second.
