The pieces are very informal, brief and jerky-Houston says the book involved a tape recorder instead of a TV camera. Topics include technique, bait, boats, rods and how to remove a hook from the hand. Major factors in fishing for bass are water conditions, type of water, time of year and weather, Houston shows. Reminiscing about tournaments he and his wife have fished, he compares tournament fishing with long-distance auto racing in terms of the concentration required. This book is limited in scope; bass fishermen and ~ -women will appreciate it, but Houston's medium is television, not print. (June)
