Bruce O'Connor is on the cusp of realizing his childhood dream - playing professional baseball. But while driving to Florida to report for spring training, Bruce falls asleep at the wheel and wrecks the car of a man-hating witch who has just gone through a really messy divorce. Enraged, the witch curses him to die every day at dawn and come back to life at dusk. With his baseball career in jeopardy (not to mention being dead for twelve hours a day), Bruce and his friends beg the witch to lift the curse...
