Author Biography: Robert Schirrmacher

Instructor with the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District. He teaches and supervises Early Childhood Education majors at two-on campus laboratory child development centers. He has a Ph.D in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois. He is an advocate for developmentally appropriate education and quality care for young children and is involved in professional organizations at the local, state and national levels.

Jill Englebright Fox taught kindergarten and first grade in the Texas public schools for 8 years before earning her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas. As a university faculty member, she has continued to be active in early childhood classrooms in both public and private schools, Head Start programs, and child care centers. Currently, Dr. Fox serves as the Director of EC-4 Programs at the University of Texas at Arlington.
