Ellen Woods is a self-taught specialist on American Indian artifacts. Her interest in collecting began at age five when she hunted for arrowheads and petrographs with her father. At seventeen she was a serious collector of Native American art and this fascination with Early Man expanded into the business she has maintained for the past 22 years. Ms. Woods is a guest lecturer in the anthropology department at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. She is also an appraiser and exhibitor of American Indian artifacts and a consultant to the film industry. She lives in Salinas, California.
