JODIE SHIELD, MEd, RD, is a Senior Partner with JM Associates, a nutrition communications company in Illinois. She is also a nutrition consultant and freelance writer for the American Dietetic Association, Weight Watchers®, the Chicago Tribune, and The National Dairy Council.

MARY CATHERINE MULLEN, MS, RD, is a Senior Partner with JM Associates and a pediatric dietitian with Rush Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago. She is also a nutrition consultant for the Chicago White Sox, the American Dietetic Association, and the Chicago Tribune.
