Author Biography: Thor Ramsey

THOR RAMSEY’s smart, sometimes loud, and often opinionated brand of comedy has made him an audience favorite nationwide. Ramsey had dreamed of becoming a comedian since high school, and to date he has performed on television, at festivals, in comedy clubs, for corporate and special events, with comedians such as Drew Carey, Kathleen Madigan, Mitch Headberg, and Dane Cook. Ramsey received a degree in English Literature and Hellenistic Greek from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Book Synopsis

“There is a saying in the comedy club world that death is easy, comedy is hard.  But I’m guessing they never read a King James Bible.  That Book can scare the comedy right out of you.”  Get ready to laugh—or cry—when Thor is in the house. Thor Ramsey is a top-notch comedian who packs venues nationwide, and A Comedian’s Guide to Theology will make you cry. Which is to say, it will make you laugh so hard that your eyes well up, your stomach aches, and your perspective on life is severely altered. Packed with funny stories, and hard-hitting truths, this comprehensive collection of biblical teaching and personal anecdotes will surprise you, destroy your misconceptions, and leave you wanting more. In the style of Jon Stewart, here is an entertaining yet pervasive look at some the biggest issues in Christianity today, told with sarcasm, cynicism and humor.  Here's the book f or anyone looking for alternatives to the conversation of traditional faith or for those with a taste for fearless (and hilarious) honesty.
