This is an incredible journey through the changes in the south during the war and the way pride and having God out of the center of a life Can bring a point of no return before you know it. The writing is balanced and although the jumping in respect to certain things gives the reader the opportunity to fill those gaps it’s full of emotions that help you stay submerged in the story with hope.

Excelentes condiciones para un libro usado

Still biased, still great, still a classic. The most influential fictional portrayal of the war as seen by the southern aristocracy.
The fact that this romanticized portrait can no longer be supported explains why “sequels” have been unsuccessful.
However, becoming aware of the flaws in the self-conception of others, can (hopefully) persuade us to see the imperfections in how we view ourselves.
The greatness in this novel is in the growth of the character of Scarlet. In the las paragraph of last book, two almost equals are facing a future that will include them both.
Are we today, standing closer together, or are we growing ever further apart.
Perhaps, the most lasting message of the book is that while the past is truly “Gone with the wind,” “Tomorrow is another day.”

Very well book

I love the story of Gone with the Wind and have read it several times in English over the years as well as having seen the movie several times. So I thought I'd enjoy reading it again in Spanish to keep my skills up. The only thing that has slowed down my progress--the tome weighs 5 lbs, and the print is tiny, tiny. I will keep plowing along, but it has removed a lot of the pleasure. I should have known that over 1000 pages would weigh a lot. Great for those with young eyes and strong hands. If you're a native speaker or student of Spanish, READ IT! because it is a classic, even if not factually true.
