This is a superb Spanish dictionary. Since other reviewers have already commented on its multiple and undeniable qualities, I will only add that I was able to install this product on my Windows 10 laptop without any major problem. I strongly advise users of this product, before installing it, to quit all applications running on their computers, temporarily disable their antivirus program, enable the MS Word Macros in the Word Trust Center, insert this product DVD into the respective drive, click on the DUE-3.0-Windows-Intaller.exe file and just follow the installation instructions. I should warn users that the installation process seems to stop for a minute or so, showing the "Application not responding" heading at the top of the application installation window. Please, do not do or touch anything on your computer; disregard this message and be patient; this heading will disappear and the installation will be successfully completed (just click "Next" whenever you are prompted to do so). Enjoy it!

I was never able to install this dictionary on my Mac, even though the product description says, on both Amazon and on the DVD itself, that it is compatible with "OS X or higher" (I have Mavericks, version 10.9.1, on my computer). I received a copy of the DVD a week ago, double-clicked on the icon named DUE-3.0-osx-installer.app and all it did was flicker for a second (as though it was opening) but then nothing happened. I tried this several times, rebooted the computer and made sure the DVD was clean. Thinking that it was defective, I returned it to Amazon for an exchange. The replacement disc arrived today and... same thing. I don't like to give bad reviews but a week ago I sent an e-mail (in Spanish) about this problem to the publisher, Gredos, and they have yet to reply.

This dictionary is excellent. Superb. For many reasons, it's probably the best Spanish-language dictionary there is. But watch out: it does not work if you try to install it on a Mac running OS X Lion. I've had no luck trying to get help, or an update, from the folks who made the software.

Sobre el diccionario en sí poco hay que decir, es el mejor diccionario descriptivo del español, por lo que es una obra imprescindible para todos los profesionales de la lengua. Pero sí me gustaría aclarar algo sobre su instalación: es muy lenta por lo que conviene tener mucha paciencia. Adquirí este producto junto al Corominas y la velocidad de instalación fue muy diferente. Mi portátil tardó en reconocerlo, pero después lo instalé sin problemas. Tengo windows 7, por lo que es falso que no funcione con este sistema. Además, una vez que lo instales -al contrario que el Corominas- no necesitas el CD para hacer consultas. Por todo eso, recomiendo la versión electrónica.
