About the author
Samuel A Malone was born in Limerick Ireland in 1944. He spent 30 years with the Electricity Supply Board as an Internal Auditor, Organisation & Methods Officer, Financial Controller and Training Manager. He was employed as a lecturer at the National College of Ireland and at the Dublin Institute of Technology. He is currently a self-employed author, training consultant, examiner and moderator. He is the author of 20 books on training, learning and skills development for managers, some of which have gone into second editions and foreign language translations. He has a particular interest in learning and the development of learning skills. He holds an M.Ed (with distinction) in training and development from the University of Sheffield and is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (FIITD). He is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA),Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and Chartered Secretary (ACIS). He is married with three grown up children and lives in Dublin with his wife.
