This book is beautiful - each food has a separate page and also a beautiful photograph. The information is great. It tells you why you should be eating it , how to buy it , and how to cook it and then there is a recipe that follows. Buy this book, you won’t be sorry.

Brilliant book, I got quite excited about it as it was the first one of many I have that was interesting to read, straight to the point, basic food items with simple ideas to make them taste more interesting, not difficult recipes. In the short time I have had the book, I have used it most days. My big hound dog also liked it... so much that he chewed the front and back covers and some of the back pages containing the index etc. Luckily all the food information pages are still legible. I'm not sure its hygenic enough now to actually bring into the kitchen though :-) therefore I am reading it at every opportunity to try and memorise the contents.

I have given this book to male friends on numerous occasions and have one in my own shelf. It is a great reminder of how to improve one's diet by adding little, good ingredients. The recipes are helpful and make it easier to imagine how one would "eat better". There's more to learn about nutrition but this little book is practical and accessible. I recommend it.

I am into healthy eating so for me it was more or less the type of food I eat anyway, it just confirmed I was doing my best as far as healthy food was concerned. For anyone who is looking to change their diet and eat more healthily this book is perfect.

this is a great book for healthy food without all the blurb from the diet fashionistas ; I use this as my only cookbook now the other fifty all going to the charity shop sensible good food easy to cook and for the kids as well . the spelt bread pizza my favourite,plus buckwheat pancakes are great . thanks Glen
